I'm still amazed at how many idiots want to fire McDermott.
McNeil signed an extension with Detroit already.Waiting on the dentist so I did some mock draft and off-season thinking:
Free agency for the Bills should be interesting. What does Beane do with Miller and Milano? Does he re-sign Douglas and Cooper?
From just a cursory look at free agency, I think Cooper will need to take a team friendly deal, as he’ll be in demand. I think he’ll be the third best receiver available after Higgins and Godwin.
Douglas might be easier to re-sign but the free agency field is loaded so it might be better to look for a cheaper and younger option.
A free agent I really like is Alim McNeill. I loved him during his draft year and he’s only gotten better. 25 years old, and he’s a stocky NT type. He’s full a huge need on the interior of the defense, with Jones on his last year.
Haason Reddick might be a somewhat buy by low player. His Jets time probably lowers his stock, but if Beane takes a swing and McDermott checks off on character, he could be a steal.
Marquise Brown might be another buy lower player after coming off an injury season. He’s got the speed Buffalo could use.
Does Beane take a swing at mercurial Chase Young?
As for the draft, there’s a bunch of players I like. Jack Sawyer is at the top of that list, but he’s almost strictly a LE. Rousseau is best at LE so I don’t think that’s a good fit.
I also really like Dontay Corleone. He’s one of the few NTs in the draft and has first round talent.
I think Landon Jackson from Arkansas is going to be really good. He’s big like Rousseau and plays LE. He reminds me a lot of Maxx Crosby. His burst is way better than I thought after watching him. He’s exactly the type of DE Beane goes for.
Four linemen I like, who will be available for the Bills are Wyatt Milum, Jonah Monheim, and Bryce Foster…. and I love Emery Jones from LSU but he would have to transition from RT to LT, and I think he’s way underrated right now. Milum is a LT, and Monheim and Foster are IOL. All three are going to have high RAS.
Some other players I like:
J Michael Sturdivant, WR UCLA
Rod Moore, S Michigan
Raheem Sanders, RB South Carolina
Nazir Stackhouse, DT Georgia
Tony Grimes, CB UNLV
Karma. Couldn't of happened to a nicer person.
He's not perfect and repeats his weaknesses, but is the best guy your going to get here for the job right now without taking a shot and up and coming coordinator. He is part of tandem with the GM, and the owner would never fire him. He needs to differentiate himself from a guy like Marvin Lewis now and take the next steps if capable.I'm still amazed at how many idiots want to fire McDermott.
They do get Nico Collins back from injury now, he was one the best receivers in the league before he got hurt.
Yeah.......I don't like that very much. Not much at all. It makes the Ravens a fair bit better.Diontae Johnson to the Ravens for pick swap
RB Darrynton Evans released by Bills (might come back to PS if not picked up)
Eagles and Ravens loaded up with weapons for sure.Yeah.......I don't like that very much. Not much at all. It makes the Ravens a fair bit better.

Dane Jackson?Johnson to the Ravens makes them better, but the Bills didn't really need him. Shakir has a similar, and better, skill set.
Bills probably need to add some OL and DL depth, and maybe a DB.
I don't really seem them as similar skill sets. Johnson is one of the best separators in the NFL, can be a target hog, and can play inside and outside. Shakir is at this point slot only, has never commanded a ton of targets, and his game is much more about YAC. Johnson is the much better, more well-rounded player, but Shakir is younger with more potential. I nonetheless agree that I don't really see a role for Johnson here, given the array of talents they've assembled, nor do I think it would be good asset management.Johnson to the Ravens makes them better, but the Bills didn't really need him. Agree with everything aside from Shakir. I think his separation skills are top notch, and I think he can play outside with ease. He’s just not being asked to do it with the receivers Buffalo has already.I don't really seem them as similar skill sets. My thoughts going into the TDL
- I don't want to block the development path of a good young player unless it's for a homerun upgrade. Players that come to mind are Carter (backup 3-tech), Solomon (rotational pass rusher), and Bishop (3rd safety). This was always meant to be a bit of a reset year, and part of that is letting kids play meaningful reps and developing.
- I'm most interested in OL depth. Backup OL isn't like the positions listed above where someone can rotate in and get reps. It's someone that just needs to be ready to go. Our current group is very green, and adding one dependable veteran would go a long way
- I'm worried about what we have behind Jones at 1-tech. Adding a space eater would probably be fairly cheap and go a long way to alleviate my concerns.
- Are there any savvy veteran MLBs that can run the defense? I don't feel great about what's behind Spector and am having bad flashbacks to last playoffs. Please no AJ Klein experience. We know our undersized LBs are suspectible to injury, let's prepare for that.
- If White gets cut and no one will give him a bag, would love to bring him back to the PS and get him in the building

The team’s success is entirely dependent and contingent on Josh Allen. Under this regime, he will lose an OC every 2-3 years, and with that, lose continuity. Some OCs will not work out, and you just piss more of the window away.I'm still amazed at how many idiots want to fire McDermott.
