The problem with that is look at some of these teams behind Michigan. No one can make a great case for even jumping them. And, just like that, Michigan is now on QB #3.

Just looking like a bad year of college football. Coupled with the #1 team losing today to Vanderbelt(no slight intended).

The conferences have have too many teams to only play 7 games

The Big 12 and SEC at 16 can give each of their teams three protected opponents and four rotating opponents on a six-year schedule, that isn't that long.

it's like the mirror universe version of the 2008 season. The only two teams this season that pass the eye test for me so far are Texas and OSU. Playoffs could actually be fun until we get to the Semis as a result though.
