It also looked like he had control or at worst simultaneous control until the ball was jarred loose by a Miami player who was out of bounds. It was close but since it was ruled a TD on the field, the video evidence they showed didn't seem like nearly enough to overturn.

If they did I couldn’t hear. The DB eventually ripped it out of his hands so my guess is they said the WR didn’t maintain full control

The DB was also out of bounds it seemed when he reached in and knocked it out. It looked like the Tech player had enough possession and then once on the ground with possession, it was pulled out by a Miami player who had already landed out of bounds. It was very surprising to see that overturned based on the angles they showed.
