Mertz was a high recruit as I recall, and picked Wisconsin so he could change the balance of the top level of college football.

The jumped around in Chicago, and since them Wisconsin kicked a field goal on 4th and goal to go up 13-10 and are now down 24-13 with Notre Dame using their 3rd QB.

ND is playing with their 3rd string freshman QB. Still up 11 but that defensive stand where they held UW to a field goal then returned the kickoff 96 yds changed everything.
