The Eagles will probably finish 9-8. Might make the playoffs. They will be 1-3 before their bye though.
It’ll be similar to last year, 10-7 wins the division I think. But the NFC is wide open. You can have any 3 teams, I’ll take the field. Eagles are top heavy and the pass rush is a disaster right now. If they could trade Huff back for Reddick, they should do it.

They needed yards and it’s less than 30 seconds left. He may have had Covey underneath DeVonta which could’ve gotten out of bounds at the 35.
With the new KO starting at the 30 and Elliott’s leg. A 60 yard try is from the opposition 43. So you as an offense need 25 yards to get to the ATL 45 with 34 seconds left and 2 TO. Got a first down to past your own 40. Had 27/28 seconds at the time.

Brady was the best at just throwing it near a RB to ensure an incomplete pass. Saving 15 seconds on a running clock for a 3 yard gain is more vital than than 3 yard. Nothing was there so throw it 5 yards in front of the checkdown Barkley who had a LB coming behind him and would have tackled him in bounds.

Need to be situationally aware.

Hurts did a thing similar in Seattle last year. Got a big first down past their own 40 in a run. Then went deep the next play which got picked by Love.

You’re not settling for 60-yard field goals. Nathaniel Hackett did that and he had the entire planet laughing at him, and for good reason.

Shame for Hurts though, he had such a historic training camp.

The Falcons had just a 0.7% chance of winning with 1:56 left in the 4th quarter, according to the NGS win probability model.

The comeback is the 7th-most improbable win in the NGS era (since 2016).

One of the biggest choke jobs I’ve ever seen. What happened, Eagles? Hahahah

That’s the minimum to give them a shot with Elliott. Obviously aim to get closer than that. But they had plenty of time to get into range.

25 seconds is not a lot and you check down, you probably burn the time out. Not impossible, not ideal.

That’s why the elite QBs don’t check down over the middle. Either the check down is near the sidelines to get out of bounds or they throw it away. If over the middle it needs to be a chunk play not 5 yards. Still had a TO so could have gone over the middle if they could get 12 plus yards.

Herbert in like year 2 in the last game vs LV to make the PO, down a TD, every pass he hit on his game tying drive was either for a first down, out of bounds or incomplete. No check down over the middle. He gets that time is more vital than yardage. Too many kids panic and just dump the ball off when an incomplete pass is better.

It must be said but in two games, that Eagles defense is terrible. The front 4 can’t rush the passer, nor stop the run. Packers and Falcons damn near ran at will on them. What the hell are Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter doing? Those two mammoth DT on the line, no one should be able to run on the Eagles yet here we are. No pressure the edges, linebackers pretty meh, the secondary is a hot mess.

I like Cousins but that's a laughable take.
I don't think it's laughable to suggest Cousins is a better QB than Prescott.

Their completion percentages are almost identical.. but Cousins has 10,000+ more passing yards, a couple more total wins, one more pro bowl appearance, about 70 more passing TDs, etc. Cousins does have a couple more years in the league which help his cumulative stat advantage over Prescott. But in Cousins' defense, he spent some hard years on a bad Washington franchise.
My opinion, I'd say their careers have been pretty similar in quality, there isn't a distinct advantage for one QB over the other. Prescott does have one more (starting) playoff win over Cousins.. but neither have had deep playoff runs.. which has hurt their legacies (so far) with fans.

Every Jets fan knew Bryce Huff was a disaster of a signing if he continued to be the player he was in NY, he wasn't an every down guy at all and he sucks against the run. Paying 17M for that was mind boggling when they had Reddick. A lot of Huff's sacks in NY also came in cherry picked pass rushing situations or garbage time.

Side note, the Saints are going to destroy that Eagles defense to shreds next week. Might be another 40 bomb by Carr and co.

Cousins being better than Dak is a bit different than being on par.
Cousins did not have any lack of offensive talent nor system on Washington. He also had a Shanahan offense, then Jay Gruden. He is nowhere near as competent a pilot of the Shanahan offense as Purdy.

What a game last night!!

Side note...I won't pretend I know more about football than coaches, but I'll never understand why they all continue to use prevent D. Seems to never work. Teams seem to march down the field all the time.

Huff hasn’t been used as an every down guy yet. He had fewer snaps than Brandon Graham last week. He played 4 more than him last night.

Herbert hasn’t been great at the end of games either. These guys are taught to get the ball in the hands of guys and give them a chance.

Not running the ball there was inexcusable. They were close enough they easily could have still got a first down running and you guarantee at least 40 seconds off the clock.

Siranni is not a good coach. Eagles D looks mid at best. They are not a true contender.

Good morning! Are we ready to have the conversation about Jalen Hurts yet? Or are we still going to play pretend and act like he’s a good QB?

Eh, he did have 85 rushing yards and a TD on top of the nearly 200 yards passing. Let's also not forget that he's without his top target. He definitely has some questionable games over the last couple seasons, but this wasn't one of them.

He also threw his third game-losing interception in the final minute, in his last 7 games.

Aww no, he was without Aj Brown? Guess he’ll have to settle for Smith, Goedert, and what’s viewed as a top offensive line and running back. Good QBs make it work, and Hurts has more than enough help around him.

He is what he is at this point. You expect a QB to mature with age, but Hurts game is still the same - can’t read defenses, turnover machine (20 last season and already 4 this season), he can run the ball but nobody is fearing his arm, except his offensive coordinator in clutch moments.

Easy to pass the blame off to whoever this week, but they’ve given him a huge contract and tons of help around him. Maybe his cringey press conferences make it worth it?
