To me that's exactly why you elevate him for a (mostly) meaningless regular season game. Give Bishop a chance to learn from him on a down-by-down basis, instead of just when he comes off the field and they go to the tablets. But Hyde has to be in football shape to do that to begin with. But it's not something you probably want to do for a playoff game if you can avoid it.

This would be better if the seed was completely locked in of course.

Not a terrible scenario, but I'm far more afraid of JT than anything the Broncos can throw at us offensively.

Neither team wants to win this game so far. Cincy hasn't really been stopped on their 4 drives but are only up 10-3. Stopped on 2 4th down attempts.......and one dropped TD by Chase on a 3rd down on one of those zero-point drives.

Meanwhile, Denver isn't helping themselves by committing so many defensive penalties.

This should really be a 20-3 game at the least, with Cincy in full control.

I'll take facing Bo Nix and this stagnant offense anyday over Jonathan Taylor... The Broncos D is legit good but I still think we put up a good amount of points against them.

They have Pat Surtain and a decent enough D-line. But that's about it (remember, the Bengals' O-line is abysmal).

The Bengals have made play after play on them, the Broncos have just stopped them on 2 4th-downs and have benefitted from a dropped Chase TD.

Exactly my sentiment. Go for the win to make the playoffs! Even if you fail to convert, you can win next week against KC who has nothing to play for. Mistake by Payton IMO.
