Weather in cleveland is expected to have some rain, so not great conditions.
It is a long grinding season. Mahomes battled through his ankle. Hurts is in concussion protocol. Carr has a broken non throwing hand and missed the prior 2 games and won't get to play his Revenge game vs the Raiders.

Yup. Just saw the replay. This is what I get for assuming instead of watching....I still stand by the spirit of my comment though. They do need to get him protection.

Unless you are trying to make the line of the gain on 3rd or 4th down, you can't take that hit as a QB. Even that, at this stage, you have to protect yourself. He was a runner and not sliding at that point.
Edit: It was a 3rd and 4 play and he ended up taking a sack. This is his 2nd hit to the head this season. Got tripped up vs the Jets I think and fell forward and took a hard hit and was out for the rest of that game. Coaches need to work with him to get him to just take the sack there if he can't make the line of the gain. Not worth taking the contact to save a couple of extra yards.

I think Vrabel would be a big upgrade for them. But, admitting a failure is a massive hit to the ego for the Krafts.

The Patriots don't really have any playmakers on both side of the ball. A mediocre player like Hunter Henry should not be your leading receiver.

Mayo is staying. Are people actually surprised by the Patriots record? They've been surprisingly competitive for the most part. It's going to take more moves before they're good again. I'll reserve any judgment til the end of next season.

He does have ALOT of things that he needs to adjust or set right but that is to be expected of a rookie coach. Now if some of these problems persist next season then I'll start to question him. I want to see how him and Maye adjust in season 2 before I condemn him for good. Their GM needs to make some good moves this offseason to help them out.
