I'm very biased against Dallas. Though if they run it back in 2025 nothing will change. The Eagles should be just as good and the Commanders will improve most likely. Barring bad injury luck from those two dont see anything other than a 3rd place finish.
And most likely will continue you finish 3rd for long time, and possibly 4th in their division depending on who Giants hires and drafts.

Cowboys fans are very biased against the Eagles. It's crazy to see all the fans not give the Eagles their due even when they stomp their team and have statistical evidence to back it up.
This is the best Eagles team I've seem in 25 years of supporting them, this loss with Pickett not with standing. Whether they make it to New Orleans is another story.

I need 3.5 points tomorrow from Jacobs/Packers D to win an improbable fantasy championship.

I won a game by half a point late in the season to force a five way tie for two wild card spots…somehow was one of the top 2…made every wrong call last week and my opponent completely shit the bed so it didn’t matter.

This week I had Hurts and should have been toast. Especially with Mixon busting and getting 1 point from my TE. But my opponent did worse. Had everyone bust except Kyren Williams.

My unlucky season of scoring the most points and barely reaching .500 has regressed to the mean and handed me the two lowest scoring teams in the league in the playoffs.

Good for you and good luck. My run of comically awful bad luck continued on the consolation side, where I went in favored by 30 points, and I outperformed my predicted score, and of course my opponent hit 170 with Taylor, etc. I would have won against every other player by a large margin, just like it was basically every week of the year. I honestly wish there wasn't a consolation round, I can't hack another week of this.

Vikings are going to have a thing to deal with next year with Darnold and McCarthy. Darnold is young enough where if he is real, he can be the QB for the next 6-8 years.

I would have a hard time turning my back on a guy who just led the team to 13 or more wins, he has been a little uneven at times, but you really couldn't ask for more than what he has done

Teams would deal for McCarthy. After Sanders/Ward, there is a gap.

Looking at the draft order. Giants, Browns, Titans, Raiders in the top 6 would be interested in a QB. Little further down, you'd have New Orleans, Seattle, Jets. So, they'd recoup that 1st back and that could be in around where they took JJ.

vikings would be smart to shop mccarthy. there are a number of awful teams desperate for a franchise QB and are going to miss out on ward/sanders who would give up a lot for him

I'm sure that there were teams that were high on him. Just a matter of whom the Vikings feel have a higher ceiling and how quickly McCarthy can get up to speed. They really don't want to take a step back in 2025. Plus, they would like to have the cap savings on a contract. McCarthy is like $20 mill max on his total rookie deal. Darnold, looking at a Baker $100 mill over 3 years ($60 mill guaranteed) type contract at a minimum.

I think a lot will or should depend on what the Vikings do in the playoffs. If they made a SB or deep playoff run then it's hard to move on from Darnold. If they manage to win it all then you have to bring him back. If it's a quick exit then I think you move forward with McCarthy just as they planned.

This isn't too different from the Kirk discussion other than age/injury. There were a lot of people saying they shouldn't move on because he's a known commodity and he put up big regular season numbers. Vikings decided they'd rather have that young QB on a rookie contract and believed they'd be fine moving forward due to the coach, weapons, offense, etc. Kirk had his career years in this environment and now Darnold is doing the same. The main reason behind it is KOC, who handpicked McCarthy to be his QB of the future. So if you believe in KOC, which I do, then move forward with his guy and surround him with more talent due to the benefit of the rookie contract.

Best case scenario is winning the SB and running it back. Otherwise, tag and trade Darnold and have McCarthy start next season. Darnold's play might have been the decision more difficult but they shouldn't deviate from their plan years in the making.

Think it comes down to KOC. Who does he want to have as his QB. Like you said, if you believe he can do for JJ what he's done for Cousins and Darnold, then you get 3 cheap years from JJ vs paying $40 mill (franchise tag #) for Darnold or term him like Baker with $65 mill guaranteed over 3 years for $110 mill total or something.

I don't know if JJ is capable of multiple seasons better than what Darnold has given the Vikings this season. Going to be interesting at least in Minny.

The framework of business indicates that McCarthy will have the throne even if Darnold wins the Super Bowl(I cite Nick Foles). When they negotiated the CBA whenever, the system obliges both team and rookie QB to put the rookie out there.

Darnold will likely have to see if there is another opening in the Shanaland or other West coast offense teams like Dallas.

I agree on Darnold. Like most QBs can’t just sign him and expect the same results as Minny. Coaching matters. So if you are saints, Hawks. browns, Titans, etc, do you have the coaching for him.

For Darnold, have to pick the right landing spot.
