Patriots at 2

Raiders fall to 6

Trade back grab Campbell or Banks and get high picks

Just don’t beat Chargers or Bills at home

Trading back is gonna be tough. No one has two firsts this year or next. 2 teams ( buff and Chitown) have two second round picks this year. No one has 2 seconds next year. Not gonna trade from 2 down to high 20’s( buff) or even Chitown which is oooking at 9-12. Major issues are no trade partners ( unless we all think going to 10 and getting two seconds and next years first is worthy? No way they trade with Buff. Sadly a bad year to want to trade down.

I watched the game rooting for the patriots to win

Out of 63 people in a $150 betting pool only four people picked game and only myself took Patriots getting 14.5

I’m 17-3 against spread in money league / chaching $$$$

BS????

Well Glorydaze from here runs an HF one and for simplicity I take same games

@LouJersey is I it and will verify as well as my not only taking the Patriots but picking one lock and I took them today

Clearly I was rooting for them

and because to many talk show hosts, media, and fans are dumb asses I want Mayo to win out and avoid Adam Jones, Greg Bedard, and Tom from Braintree to stfu

They can get Banks or Campbell at 7-10 me thinks but getting two Overall for a team hot for Ward could get them a first swap, a second in 25, and next year first

Loser mentality

Just wanted to clarify

Thanks for your time

I remain awesome and positive and the blueprint of everything good in life

Why does the extra first need to be this year? If the Patriots can stay at #2 then you can get someone to pay to move up. Assuming Sanders goes #1 to the NYG, you still have Cam Ward available.

#3 JAX - Doesn't need a QB
#4 TEN - Could use a QB
#5 CLE - Watson isn't living up to his contract
#6 LV - Desperately need a QB
#7 CAR - Depends on how they feel about Young
#8 NYJ - Do they want a guy that can sit behind AR8 for a season or two?
#9 CHI - They just took Williams
#10 NO - Carr has been ok, but not great in NO. 2yrs left on his deal

The last few times the #2 overall pick was traded....

2017 - CHI trade #3 / #67 / #111 / 2018 3rd
2016 - PHI trade #8 / #77 / #100 / 2017 1st / 2018 2nd
2012 - WSH trade #6 / #39 / 2013 1st / 2014 1st

So any of those teams that want to move up are going to need to trade their 1st rounder this year + 1st next year. You'll likely get a 3rd rounder in this draft as well + another 3rd (or 2nd) in next years draft. If you find a team that feels like Ward is the guy and can propel their franchise, maybe you can net another 1st.

I'd also consider one of those teams looking for the #2 pick adding a very capable roster player along with the 2025 picks, it's happened in the past. We all know we could use some proven player(s) at a number of different positions. I'd be happy with any combination of 2025 picks (one has to be a top 10 2025) and a proven younger player.

Extremely unlikely but I’d trade 2 to Vegas for Brock Bowers ~ Raiders could get their QB

Draft one of the centers at 35

Sign Tee Higgins & an OT

Don’t see Raiders trading one of only good players though

Also Patriots players will probably be in one or both of these two games - they find ways to lose not sure they got two more left though

Excellent and entertaining post

Swap this years and add an additional this year in 2 or 3 round, maybe a 5th rounder to use to jump up at some point - and a first next

Spread out haul

Love the Derek photo and the user name is fantastic

I can still see Derek interviewing Don Awrey with Derek smoking a cigarette looking into camera and saying you kids at home don’t do this it’s a bad habit

Well even if the Pats win one more game they would not drop below pick 5. Jacksonville and Tennessee still play each other, so unless there is a tie one of those two teams still would have at least 4 wins. The Raiders get the Saints next week in a game they can realistically win their 4th. Keep in mind a lot of good teams will be resting guys in week 18 which means anything is possible. I fully expect a Pats win against Buffalo unless the Chiefs lose to the Steelers on Xmas.

Which word did you not understand when I stated that it is a losing mentality?

A person can root for their team to win and at the same time understand that losing would be better for their draft position. Both things can be true.

As long as the team is still playing to the best of their abilities, hates to lose, and hasn’t thrown in the towel, it doesn’t really matter what the fans think.

The fact of the matter is that the Patriots lack talent at many positions. I might be worried about the losses hurting the psyche of the team, but a lot of them won’t be here in a couple of years. You would hope that the ones that are still with the team look back at this stretch and use it as motivation to avoid losing in the future.

Honest question. As a Pats fan, if you needed a quarterback in this season's draft would any of you trade up and offer Multiple 1st Rd picks to draft Cam Ward, Shadeur Sanders, Carson Beck or Quinn Ewers? I sure as hell wouldn't.

I WOULD try to sign/trade for Sam Darnold or JJ McCarthy, however.....I'd even take a stab at Russell Wilson if the terms were right. Way less risky than the QBs on the board...

At the end of the day we have no control over the outcome no matter what we root for. People should try not to worry about it. Just watch the game for good or bad. I do want a higher draft pick as it can help the rebuild move a little quicker, but I still root for the guys to play well.

I personally wouldn't, but all it takes is a GM who falls in love with any of those guys and feels like they're the QB that can lead they're franchise.

I wouldn’t, but considering how the Denver gamble with Bo Nix is working out I’m guessing there’ll be quite a few teams willing to take a chance on Ward.

Assuming no trade and Pats stay at 2, is Travis Hunter the guy? I’m waiting for someone to sell me on him

I think the Krafts would like the excitement Hunter would bring, and I guarantee they would let him play both sides of the ball. Two positions of need no less. I'm not sure if it is the right call, but they need the press he would bring to the team and the fans would love it.
