Brandon Allen starting for the Niners at Green Bay this week

EDIT: Bah NotABadPeriod beat me to it. I thought I refreshed the page too.

To add something new, Trent Williams is also a game time decision this week. Niners are banged up for sure.

“Hate to see it”. What a dumpster fire.

Had getting release because of his contract.

If he gets injured he cant get cut in the off season thus guaranteeing the contract. The idea was he isnt playing anymore this sesson.

The Camry to a mutual agreement making him a free agent

I'm wondering if the Niners are looking at packers as a must win and see buffalo as rest all the important players for a playoff run.

I'm expecting them to hire Mike McCarthy, he's in the last year of his deal and the Cowboys will almost certainly let it run out without extending him. Hiring McCarthy to run it back with Rodgers seems exactly like a thing the Jets would do.

On the one hand, I'm dubious.

On the other hand, he does get results. Never even thought about this...

If by "hate" you mean "love and want nothing but (to see it) every waking moment for the rest of my life", sure.

"Market" is a term thrown around by players' agents when it benefits them - not unlike realtors, car dealerships' salesmen, bankers, brokers, HR hiring managers, etc. There is no context to "market", which is where the rest of the world actually exists. It's self-serving, and to be ignored by rational adults, particularly those in positions of great responsibility.

I maintained that if you don't have a true franchise quarterback leading your team, in today's NFL, you are nowhere. That is to say, you're shooting for a 9-8 or 10-7 season, perpetually. Maybe you break into the playoffs. Maybe you win a game, or even two. But the chances of that team appearing in the Super Bowl are close to zero. And we saw that in Buffalo for nearly twenty years. It was a miserable existence that cost the team its relevance, and it nearly cost the city its franchise when stadium talks came up.

When the Giants threw that mega-deal at Daniel Jones, instead of Barkley, they contradicted a core belief in that lockerroom that if you work your ass off, and you do a good job, you will be compensated accordingly. That belief is how you get everyone pulling in the same direction, as hard as they can. Daboll just compounded matters by berating his players and fellow coaches, when things went exactly as expected.

They should have made Saquon the highest paid back in the league, and let Daniel Jones walk. He was the face of that franchise, it would have saved the organization 20+ million dollars, the team would have ended the season in the same or better position come draft time, and the coaches and management would still have credibility in that lockerroom. Instead, I fully expect Daboll and Schoen to be fired in the near future.

That would be be 2 former Bill's front office guys who couldn' do it (Schoen & Gaine), and tbd on Dan Morgan. Probably tells you something about Beane.

Terrance Grey, Malik Boyd, and Lake Dawson could be next to get a shot.

Gaine gets a pass,.he was sacrificed in Houston. Seeing Schoen in hard knocks, there is no way that Beane operates that loose and the way they built the giants seems against the grain.

hindsight is 20 20 , I bet daboll thought they could coach up Jones like Josh or he wouldn't have gone there

I also bet Saquon didn't want to play there w Jones or an up and coming QB and forced his way out and he can't openly sat the Giants suck

did Giants have chance to draft one of the qbs last draft instead of signing Jones to that deal ?

If so shoen and Daniel should be axed if and only if they bypassed penix or in McCarthy who may not be great

Hope the Panthers can pull off the improbable upset and put the Bills at the head of the AFC during their bye.

So I work remotely with some people from KC. I was asking them what they thought of the game. They said they were obviously disappointed with the outcome, but they are utterly convinced we cannot beat them in the playoffs. It's sort of hard to disagree with them until the Bills can actually get it done. We need the Bills to go on a 2006 Colts run. If/When the Bills can actually beat them and win it all it be glorious.

It's going to be interesting to see if the Dolphins can sneak into that final WC spot.

I would LOVE that. They could have a perfect day and give KC trouble if we get the 1 seed, and it's like a free pass in the WC round if we're in 2

Chalk pretty much ruling the day as far as the early games go. Tennessee fighting with Houston though. Everything else is ho-hum.
I’m surprised Det/Ind isn’t a blowout yet. I know Detroit is winning but not seeming them up 20+ is honestly a bit surprising but yeah not a whole lot going on in the early window.

This seems like the least interesting slate of Sunday games this year…ignoring no bills bias
There's only one game this week between teams with winning records (Chargers/Ravens on MNF). It's a really lopsided week for sure.

Surprisingly, a number of still close games...including Chiefs/Panthers(!?!?).

I really hope their players are as complacent. There is no difference between regular season and post-season outside of sample size; if there was a mental advantage to be had, it was lost the moment Beane turned the roster almost entirely over this past off-season.

Equity? If a game has cameras that prove the correct decision can be made during a game then use the cameras to make that game as accurate as possible. Who cares if this game were played in a different stadium without the camera and a different conclusion would have been made. This stadium has the camera so why can’t they make this game as accurate as possible. The league is crazy.

Agreed.

There's different weather in every stadium, different field conditions in every stadium, etc. Different cameras is no different, but since both teams are dealing with the same system, it's fair within the context of THAT game. Neither the Vikings nor the Bears have a competitive advantage at kickoff by allowing the use of that camera.

They are indeed crazy. It’s really dumb logic for a lot of reasons. Why don’t all teams have boundary cameras? Why is equity of equipment even a concern or factor?

There are a LOT of Chiefs fans in Carolina or at least in the lower bowl behind the Chiefs bench. The Bills aren’t the only team with many fans in the stands for road games.
