Guys, my opponent had Chase to go with Allen.

But I’m somehow up 4 points with a minute left. Lamb did enough to keep me within another monster night from Chase. I entered with a big lead…but he had Chase and Higgins so I was dead. Lamb getting a score saved me.

Now…the problem is I’m in a five way tie for two spots and have no idea who is getting in because the tie breaker is head to head and not most points…which I’d have easy.

I just looked at how do it and I am pretty positive that I’m going to miss the f***ing playoffs on a third tie breaker

If you're a Packers fan it sorta sucks next year that your 2 extra games are gonna be DAL/SF probably. Thats quite the reward for finishing 3rd in a division when 2 teams have two fluky bad seasons due to injury in the other divisions
Next year's scheduling around DAL/SF:

Chase’s 14 receptions is tied for the most in Monday night football.

My opponent had Chase but that matchup was lost already.

I have Allen too and I won, which got me out of last place

They are 5th in the NFL in yards allowed per game and 7th in scoring . Their offense is 12th in scoring and 15th in yards per game. Bootom line is that their D is carrying their O.
That's heavily tilted by some strong early season performances, but since week 8 are basically the worst defence in the league.

Defence hasn't won them a game in months. And they keep winning games in spite of terrible defensive play against the Bucs, Panthers, Broncos, and Raiders.

Yeah that’s probably like +6M on his contract per year

How did they ..ck that up so bad?
Cincy is always cheap and likes to defer money to later. I mean, they are paying him his year 4 NFL contract base salary which is 7 figures only this season vs writing a big $30-40 mill signing bonus. So, they could have used this low rookie year to help eat some of that SB and have his cap hit be in the teens this year but opted to push it down the line.
But, have to always remember to look into the details of any NFL contract. Because, the AAV is not always going to represent what the player will make.
D. Adams 5 year aav was $28 mill. He only made like $67.5 mill in the first 3 years of his Raiders deal and was set to make $36.5 mill per over the next 2 years which are not guaranteed. That is how the AAV gets propped up.

I'm figure Chase's extension will be 4 years, 150mil, 37.5 AAV with 50mil bonus and 95mil guaranteed. Similar to the Jefferson contract with a bump for the new cap year.

Somehow this turned out to be wrong. In a five way tie, despite losing tiebreakers on what the league seems to be set up for…it says I ended up the first wild card. Don’t know how. Not asking questions. The adventure continues.

Ended the regular season at .500 with the most points scored in the league by a lot. But all but two teams ended up .500 or worse so…yay?

Chase like JJ will end up playing out his 4th year of his rookie deal. This is technically the 5th year option on rookies.
JJ is basically locked into the Vikings to 2027 since like half or more of his 2027 salary guarantees in March 2026.
So, if he plays through to year 2027, he's due to make like $124.5 mill or $31.1 mill per season over those 4 years.

2026 and 2027 salaries are not guaranteed in full, but about half is guaranteed a year earlier, so, Minny would eat a large dead cap by not having him. Thus, it's $88 mill fully guaranteed at signing.

In their last 2 games the Raiders and Chargers scored 17 points each against them. That's the worst in the league? Meanwhile the vaunted Chiefs offense last gained over 400 yards 2 months ago against the Saints and since then have been very average.

Points is a bad barometer. For instance, the Raiders kept missing field goals and then fumbled a snap with the game essentially won.

Raiders put up well over 400 yards.

The Chargers game looks good, but that's because the Chargers missed some wide open shots in the first half. Chiefs defence was steamrolled in the second half.

Another sign the defence is terrible is takeaways.

Chiefs are in the mix with the Jags and Raiders there at the bottom.

Yup points shouldn't count in deciding games. I could keep introducing facts but you seem to think they are the worst defense in the last 20 years. Good for you.

My fantasy started out 1-5, but I turned it around, and am optimistic I can beat anyone in the playoffs. 12 team/ .5 PPR

QB: Burrow
RB: Gibbs
RB: Cook
WR: Nacua
WR: Jeudy
WR: Downs
TE: Njoku
FLX: B Robinson (RB)

Trade McConkey for Robinson because I had no one behind Gibbs and Cook. Too risky to not find depth. One injury to either of them wouldve cratered my season. I also have Hopkins and Olave (if he's ever healthy) as depth pieces at WR.

Injuries almost derailed my season, but the Browns turning to Winston may have saved my season. Jeudy and Njoku are playing like #1 WR/TEs. Nacua coming back has transformed my team. Burrow is capable of destroying a team, and he has a bad defense to pad his stats. This may be the year boys!

The Chiefs defence is 21st overall in EPA/play and against the pass specifically they are 24th.

Both of those are season long. If you start from week 8 I've seen the Chiefs as low as 28th overall and probably even worse against the pass.

Didn’t help Denver with Elway at the top.
Like Tom is expected to uncover some great QB? Raiders tracking for a top pick. Have to decide whether he likes the QBs enough to draft one or whether it’s better to sign someone. QB only part of the puzzle. HC and OC is important.
