Well. I mean, you're really not supposed to contact the QB at all once they start the slide. That's kinda the point.Off topic but I’ve been privately saying that the slide is the worst way a qb can give themselves up and the trevor lawrence play is proof of that. They at least need to slide differently not leaving their head as the main point of the contact.

For sure but I get OP's point. Sometimes the way they slide leaves themselves exposed and if the defender is already moving to make the play at times the contact can't be avoided. Not saying that is the case today but we've all seen plays where the QB slides and the defender is already in the move of making a play they can't stop and make bad contact with the QB and the head is very vulnerable when it happens.Well.
