I’ve always said, QBs can’t get greedy with these slides. Always slide well before a defender can hit you unless you need to get the first down, which if that’s the case brace for contact. 2nd and 7 so if you are short 1 or 2 more yards have 3rd down to pick it up. At 3rd and 3 or something.

Worst case scenario played out for any QB. Knocked out of game. Might also take him out of next week’s game as well. All to gain an extra yard or 2 on a 2nd down play.

Lawrence was sliding and was a good 5 yards from being hit by the defender. It wasn't a case of Lawrence being "greedy" but a defender head hunting and not letting up.
