It just comes across as whining to me.
Everyone's gotta have a take upon release.

Since we have no divisions and can't guarantee that all the teams who need to play each other actually do, I wonder if we eventually get a conference playoff, and perhaps shortening of the field instead of doing it at-large, since they want to emphasize winning the conference. Eventually we're going to have the discussion of a team getting left out at the expense of teams who didn't have to play the conference championship game.

We’re all just making this more convoluted over time. Even though it’s pretty simple to me. But with this much consternation this just bring back the f***ing BCS.

But I think we can all agree that Heather Dinich is the dumbest and worst CFB commentator out there.

And I just found out our center tore his Achilles today. f***.

The thing to argue is that Texas probably shouldn’t be as high. But you can’t really put 2-loss teams over them because they only have one. Otherwise, you basically gonna say that one of Georgia’s losses don’t count? Which one? The game they lost by 3 scores, or the game they lost to a team that lost to a team Texas beat? Because they’re both ahead of Georgia, too.
The Georgia stuff is getting out of hand. They probably should be the team closer to Texas, since they beat them h2h. But you also can’t whine when you lose 2 of your games.

People want to say Texas has an easy schedule and they do however, they didn’t play Florida close like Georgia and Tennessee did.

They didn’t lose to Arkansas like Tennessee did, they didn’t lose to Vanderbilt like Alabama did. After this weekend, they most likely didn’t lose to Kentucky like Ole Miss did.

They laid an egg against Georgia badly, but realistically they should be ranked where they are at least SEC way. Maybe not ranked third in general.

Texas got a yearly Georgia schedule, now Georgia is bitching and complaining. Texas can lose to A&M and it’s all for nothing but Jesus Christ

You got some SEC coaches not wanting to play in the title game because if they lose, they may get left out!

Conference is nasty as hell.

How the f*** is ND 6th lol. Hell I’d have Ole Miss ahead of them. Sorry but you can’t lose to basically a FCS team and be ranked almost in the top 5. Outside of Texas A&M who have they played and beaten? This happens every year with them. I hope Bama whoops their ass.

Nobody can tell me with a straight face that ND deserves a home game against Bama. Should be the other way around

The UGA shit is just becoming highly annoying at this point.

The committee has proven over the years that losses like that early in the season count in the loss column, but decide as a whole wasn’t actually a representative of the team. And that if the two teams played 100 times, Notre Dame would win 99. Of course it would be different if Northern Illinois was actually good.

The college football calendar is so stupid.
It’s weird because the December window is really awkward because of school enrolment. Either they build something to counteract that or just get rid of this winter window entirely imo.

I don’t know how coaches will do in home visits?

Finebaum was whining again this morning about how/why Indiana, Penn State & The U are ranked ahead of Georgia. Sorry, but Georgia has looked like ass in several of its wins this season. His SEC bias is clearly on display.

Imagine if the NHL offseason began on like May 1

You have to remember that the SEC never liked playing anyone. I remember when Georgia played Arizona State. It was the first time they ventured past the Mississippi River.
If I had to guess, we will be one of the few teams that continue to play non FCS teams and schedule blue bloods for OOC. We just scheduled Notre Dame for 27-28

Texas has always been one of the better schedulers. The SEC historically have not. They would just chalk up their harder OOC games by having all their ACC rivals. But those two conferences were the only power conference that overlapped geographically.
