Quite frankly, it's hard to truly take anyone seriously from the ACC without them having a big out of conference win. It's like when the Big East was at its end and you could only take Miami and Virginia Tech seriously.

Miami had one potential big one that would have possibly helped. They were slated to play at Notre Dame this year but dropped them from the schedule due to having too many non-conf games. They made sure to keep the likes of Ball State and Fla A&M though.
