I think there was enough defense near the sticks to stop him. Although he does have a habit of trying to force a game winning play when he is forced to hold the ball a long time.

He likely would’ve been forced out of bounds and definitely has to take a hit, which is probably more important.

Those are the plays I wish Allen would just jog out or slide on. There's no reason to cut back inside there and potentially get hit hard. You've got the first. No one cares about the extra 2 yards.
