Game of inches.

Chiefs squandered too many chances and were pretty sloppy. Pacheco runs hard and is easy to root for and will probably have plenty of important runs in crunch time games but he’s not a bell cow and I think the Chiefs will struggle again this year to pound the rock outside of schemed-up plays. That said, the weapons at Reid and Mahomes’ disposal this year are much better, clearly, and Hollywood isn’t even back yet.

Lamar had one of those games where he was both single-handedly doing everything and in the end maybe not quite accurate enough but I find it hard to fault him. Likely and Flowers are studs. You could see it coming with both by the end of last year. I think people expecting Henry to be his vintage best are in for a rude awakening though.

No reason to suspect based on this outing that either team will not be competing deep again this year. First week games are bound to have their share of sloppiness especially with the limited use of pre-season now but it was a great showcase to kick-off the season.

So…people want calls to be accurate because “we have 1,000 high-def cameras how come they can’t get a call right??!!?!!”

And yet when they do…we complain because…it’s like “not in the spirit of the game” or something?

Lol.

I think it's more people are just pissed a great game ends like that.

Was it the right call? 1000%. We saw like 3 different angles that show Likely's toe touching the white.

Was it objectively a shitty way to end a game? Also yes.

Would kind of like to see what would happen in the NFL if the receiver only had to have one foot inbounds to make a reception but have no problem with that last call. That's what the rulebook says black or white. Wish the NHL would clarify a couple of their rules in this way, namely goalie interference.

There were several bullshit calls before that however. Harbaugh is probably absolutely destroying a container of fat free plain greek yogurt about it as we speak.

I think they're similar.

Both are great, but look like goats when they have the best QB of the generation playing for them.
Belichick got worst tree in NFL history. And quite frankly, there is reasonable suspicion that Flores and McDaniels sabotaged their teams for Bill instead of piloting them to win. Denver and Miami having a serviceable QB only to be destroyed(Cutler) or attempted to be destroyed(Tua) happened in both situations.

Some questionable clock management by the Ravens? If they had clocked it after the Bateman catch, they likely would have had three cracks at a TD instead of two.

Regardless, that was a phenomenal game.

They did get 3 shots at the endzone at the end (missed Likely in the left corner on first down), so it wasn't an issue.
