I thought Babcock said that Weber wasn't aloud to use his slap shot in practice against Price for the Olympics. The man is just a wrecking ball (someone photoshop him on Miley please)

He hit Bergeron in the gut with his slapshot in the Olympics. Think it was the game against Finland. Bergeron said the bruise lasted several weeks. At least he held up better than the net.

Good to hear Myers didn't break anything.

Weber has a bomb, but he holds back his shot almost 100% of the time. Despite that, anyone who blocks his shot or screens the goalie has guts. Patric Hörnqvist did it for us for years and he got hit several times and he never hesitated to go straight to the front of the net.

Babcock has said once or twice that he keeps his best players off the PK when Weber is on the ice to keep them from getting injured. Truth be told, I wouldn't want to block a Weber wrist shot.

It seems like the only times he'll actually try to put everything he has into it are when he's pissed off, when the game is on the line or when he has a clear lane to the net and it won't hit anyone unless it goes wild (which it does fairly often when he puts everything he has into it).
