LOL! I thought my volume screen froze or something, trippy

These guys that think they 'own' Kadri are driving me nuts. I should be thrilled about what he did tonight but they have managed to take the edge off. Looks like I am going to have to send them to the oblivion file ... ignore!

After 20 games Kotskas AHL strengths have not carried over. Nothing special, I'll take Lilies experience.

Liles is weak around his own net and on the boards. He gets jammed up by an aggressive forecheck.

I'm glad more and more are realizing this.

Now, if only our opinion mattered .
I never really understood the love for Kostka. He's been solid for the most part, yes, but Liles does pretty much the same thing with an improved offensive ability.

Every offensive opportunity Kostka has been given has missed the net. I feel like Liles just a better version of Kostka and we've been wasting him on the bench.

Maybe I'm just blind to Kostka's contributions or something. He's been good, but I wouldn't sit Liles for him.

I'd send Holzer down because he's waiver eligible and get Gardiner/Liles in there if it makes sense to do so. I like Holzer's game but the waiver eligible thing makes him the odd man out.

Maybe that's too many soft puck movers, I don't know. I just think we could use some offensive dmen beside Phaneuf/Franson.

On the draft thread? Pffft. The first post on the TML boards to ever mention Kadri is by me, a year and a half before he was draft eligible.

Think that something is going to shake down around that trade deadline. Although not sure what may be offered for some pretty hefty contracts combined with so so play by those in the booth. I am hoping Nonis has some magic up his sleeve.

Watch me pull a rabbit out of an ...

I see lots of people talking about moving D out and some guys in.

You will notice with Carlyle he wants his D to play their strong side so when moving a guy into the lineup you have to take out a guy that plays that hand.

So if you want Komi in then you have to take out either Franson, Kostka or Holzer and do you really want Phaneuf playing with Komi on the top pair.

Same for Gardiner you have to take out one of Fraser, Gunnarson or Phaneuf. I only see Gunnar coming out of the lineup in that scenario.

Even before looking for a #1 C I would be looking at a top pairing guy for Phaneuf to help his game out. A guy to play the Ryan Suter role to Shea Weber.

"Nazem Kadri became the first Toronto player to score a hat trick at Nassau Coliseum since Paul Henderson did it on Feb. 20, 1974."

I like it :D

nice of kadri to pick up the slack for a very rusty reimer.

carlyle really has to stop holding back guys like kadri and gardiner for guys like Bozak and Holzer, though.

The third goal was so amazing. Many times when he tries to dangle he turns it over. But you just see the drive, motivation, and confidence he had. He really wanted the hattrick and he definitely deserved it! Just deked the dmen so smoothly... Perfection.
