OT 19/3: We Were Almost Free

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

Current hurricane track is shifting north, not good for Tampa

TB Lightning mention on ABC Action News.

edit: and the Bruins fans power just went out on-air.

For anyone that wants the best tracking and updates check out Ryan Hall.

This is what I've been watching for the last few hours. I knew pretty much less than nothing about hurricanes and what all kinds of things it causes and I've learned a lot.

There are over 3 million Florida customers without power right now. Downtown Tampa apparently isn't flooded right now, although that could change.

Just got a report about our home. Overall okay. The landscaping is a mess and one leak in the house. No storm surge. Not bad considering we were right on the northern edge of the eye. No power yet. We won’t go home until the power is back on.
Thank you all for your concern and prayers.

Forgot to post but I'm okay. No damage at my place but there is water still in my street. Not very deep but still unnerving. No power at my place but my parents just got it back this morning. Hoping to watch some lightning hockey at their place tonight! What's funny is their neighborhood got it worse. So many oak trees down it's like a war zone. One barely missed their house. The neighbors roof got hit on a corner.
