Our odd man rushes have been terrible for a long time. I have been pointing out this for about 3 weeks now.
Last game it peaked as our odd man rush turn ped out in their 3 on 1 odd man rush. We didn't get a shot on goal, not even a B chance, we created an A chance for them.
Mclellan has to address this.

Holl getting an A chance to score is not a bad sign, it's a good one.

I wonder though, who signed Holl. Holland?

Didn't we win the game on an odd man rush?

i don't see the obvious answer in the poll: give him an 8 year extension on july 1st

seriously though, i believe that we will be making the playoffs this year and as such the best choice will be to trade for a partner for seider that can be here a couple years rather than paying to make holl go away and finding a decent 6RD. i feel way more confident with a depth chart that looks like this

byram/miller - seider
edvinsson - johansson
chiarot - gustafsson
lagesson - petry
buium - holl
wallinder - tuomisto

for the stretch run and playoffs than

chiarot - seider
edvinsson - johansson
gustafsson - murphy/schenn/whoever
lagesson - petry
buium - tuomisto
 wallinder

On paper option A is the obviously the preferred path. But what is the relative cost?

Byram is going to cost a lot more than Schenn/Murphy/whoever.

Only 1 option makes sense, make due. This team isn't competing for the Cup and has too many holes to fill before going after a #6 d man.
No need to ignore a relatively easy hole to fill just because theres other issues. As for not competing for a cup, if Raymond, Seider and Edvinsson can get a couple rounds of playoff experience this season, thats a big win. Upgrading from Holl cheaply could help with that

tough to say. byram has the higher draft pedigree but the wings got a 1st and a 2nd for hronek and a 4th. at the time of his trade hronek had .63ppg, byram currently has .51ppg. this is byram's d+6, in hronek's d+6 he had .49ppg

buffalo fans will say they want more and don't want futures but it's kind of hard to argue that a bottom 5 team couldn't use more futures
