We Have A Gm Problem

So you want to sign Marner, and think we'll still pick top 5ish? So whats the point of signing Marner, then?
With this roster, they’ll still picking bottom 5 with Marner, too late for that though.
There might be plenty to criticize, but if there is so much, why do you just make shit up like the first sentence of the second to last .
Not sure how it’s made up.

Even when they went after Guentzel and michov they didn’t hype it up as a turn towards winning and proceeded to set a real low bar afterward.

How else would the outside interpret that other than owner and gm being fine with losing until something changes on its own?

So all it took to get Zegras was quantity and ol KD is once again asleep at the wheel.

We have a GM problem
I agree with you that I'm disappointed the Hawks didn't get Zegras after seeing what it cost to get him.

But here's what you did: You assumed that because we didn't get him, KD was asleep at the wheel. It's possible he was but you weren't in his office today or yesterday were you?

Maybe he just overlooked an opportunity. Or maybe he or Blashill don't like Zegras' injury history or lack of effort. Maybe the Hawks didn't have the kind of asset Verbeek wanted. He's kind of weird like that you know. Or it could be that Anaheim wanted him out of the conference. Or that Anaheim and Philly have a good relationship after the Gauthier deal.

I probably shouldn't engage with trolls like you anymore as the Blackhawks community knows what you are but what you do is take one event that you know almost nothing about and then paint it with a broad brush in the worst possible light. It's neither insightful nor useful in any way and adds very little if anything to any discussions on this board. Yeah I could mute you but then I'll see other people engage and have no idea what is going on. So fire away I guess.

Philly got him for cheap, but if GMs thought he was such a valuable asset, Ducks would have gotten a much better return.

Might just be a case where fans value him more than NHL teams.

Zegras is an upgrade over 97% of the forwards on the Hawks.

There's a GM problem.
Theoretically he'd be an upgrade for a lot of teams. But there didn't seem to be much interest league wide given the minimal return.

But do still go off on your tangent about management.
