You're discerning my emotional state through a post on a forum? That's quite a skill.

I know how the first round works lil fella. Do you need the statistics that shows the likelihood of NHL success based on draft position? It seems like you do. Should I post it here for you? Could be valuable information for you. Because the likelihood of your "could" at 8, 11, or 17 varies wildly and they're sharply down from the could that comes with 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc... in such range the Blackhawks have only made two picks since their rebuild began and that you feel like is dragging on too long I gather.

I have to ask, are you a second account of Pez?

Davidson has built a roster that lacks speed. Very noticeable in OT.
There is a lot one can complain about with him, building a slow roster isn't one of them.

The entire system is filled with burners up front and guys with size who can skate on the backend.

Yes, guys like Maroon, Foligno, and Martinez lack speed. We all know they weren't signed because of their skating ability. But what matters is the future, not the present.

Dach is such a zero I doubt he effects that, which is on the flip side why its a plus he got moved. Even just for on current play I'd already prefer Nazar.
I don't disagree on Dach. But if we get 1 more point the Hawks don't have Bedard.

Most recent elite 1st OA (Matthews, McD, Kane) joined teams that had been bad for at least 3-4 years and joined teams with multiple early picks already on the roster.

I appreciate you sir! Someone who can take off the rose colored glasses and see what is actually happening. I think every Blackhawks fan can agree a tear down needed to happen to rebuild. Where the difference is I believe KD has done a disastrous job in weaponizing cap, very poor drafting, and handing out contracts to washed up vets who barely should be playing in the NHL anymore. I am fine with him acquiring picks as long as he hits on them (he doesnt) I am fine with him signing players to hit cap floor like Bertuzzi and Teravainen but then he goes and gets road blocks like Martinez, Brodie, Maroon, Smith. Those guys are not vets the young guys learn from they are flat plugs taking a roster spot from young guys period.
You sir a f***ing clueless.
The drafting will pan out pretty well. Every major source has Hawk prospects in the top 5 that’s usually not counting the guys already in Chicago.
If you’d follow the prospects you would know that several kids currently making their way through the system are very highly thought of in national hockey circles.
As for your impression of the plugs, … I have little doubt they are strong positive influences and a wealth of knowledge. I’ve seen more than once Maroon or Foligno talking to their youthful linemates on the bench post shift.
It’s not about winning. It’s about learning NHL hockey.
