I like the Canes chances in this one. Jets have been lousy lately...and that's describing it very nicely...

The difference can and should be our 3-4 lines vs. theirs. I think we have an advantage there by a fair measure.

Maybe we do as a prototypical bottom 6 but they've got a lot of offensive talent in theirs.

They now have Little in their bottom six plus some true warriors like Lowry, Copp or Tanev. Those guys may not score a lot but they're well known for their cycling...they have the puck all the time despite starting most of their shifts in the defensive zone. If they don't, they hit everything that moves as hard as anybody in the league. Their bottom six is one of the best leaguewide. They have other issues...
If and when Laine is in first line, it has to be used. I mean, he's scary on their PP, but he's really not the man to play against opponents top lines. He can't defend.

He actually improved a lot in that area. Really liking his two way game now...it's just that over studying defense he obviously forgot how to score
Just five goals in 2019 and four of them came in that three game hot streak at the end of february. Mindboggling.

Canes always match the Aho line up against the other team's first line anyway, it won't be a different strategy than what they've been doing for the last two months.

Hard to give to have any confidence in the Athletic's projection guy when he can't seem to get that we have a goalie rotation going of "every other start barring injury" and he is ALWAYS projecting the other goalie. Information? I don't need no stinkin' information....
Last season, the Peg was significantly more physical than us....it felt similar in our early season loss to them (but that might not be the case in actuality). I'm hoping that we learned from our Boston game to keep the pressure on and don't be intimidated.
And their 4th line is going to be hard to play against....but they aren't the fastest, so we might be able to "out-quick" them.
