When I lived in upstate central NY I used to think it was kinda weird and comical when I would see them inside Lowes with their horse & buggy parked outside.

When we first moved here we were stunned to see them at the grocery store buying so much junk food. Not the way I expected them to eat. The guys love their wine dipped cigars too...lol

To each their own but one time I frowned on them specifically was when I got back out to my work van and the (amish?) guy left his young daughter alone in the buggy in the middle of the Lowes parking lot while he was inside shopping.

What sucks to me is I miss being a dad to my girls. Being there for them. Their ups and downs.

I loved being domesticated or whatever

Ok so the moist cake situation….

I may say light. I may say fluffy.

Sometimes though, you just gotta say moist. When I have to use the word, I tend to say it in a very deep voice with a lot of emphasis on the s so it’s like moisssst.

For some reason, saying it like an idiot takes some of the sting away.

Panties is worse than moist to me. Undies, underwear, or underoos only.

Ya I agree. I just couldn't believe he left her sitting there by herself, well the horse as well, but. . . The guy inside was looking at carpets lol. I will say that horse was giving me the death stare when I was loading things into the sliding door on the passenger side of my van.

Been there, done that. First was Connor. Then second was Matthew. I was over ruled on both by the Bride. First I wanted as Cameron but that rhymed with our last name. Rejected.
The second time we had twins Matthew & Sarah. I wanted Phil and Lil because I got a kick outta the Rug Rats. Severely rejected.

I carpooled with friends downtown to meet the train. On the way back I ended up squished in the middle seat of a Toyota Highlander for the 45 minute ride, during which time I realized that my body and more specifically my back is no longer equipped to ride for 45 minutes in the middle seat of a Toyota Highlander.
