Being in the building tonight for that win was worth the trip from Chicago. So much energy from the crowd.

Game 4 Oilers are a force under Knoblauch. Great adjustments with lines* and quite easily the best game of the season.

Building on positives, it is a lot better when we have 6 dmen instead of 5. We didn't get enough flack for killing Kulak and Nurse with heavy extra minutes because Emberson was languishing. Stecher is an incredibly competent d man, a feisty gamer, and complements Nurse very well. Unsurprising Nurse had a stellar game. Lot better overall than his last tour in Vegas.

I will say that its less of an issue, but while Kappy brought a necessary element of blazing speed that created a forecheck against the lumbering Vegas D, he also brings tunnel vision and the offensive awareness of a wombat. That line is a work in progress, and despite the win, could see Arvidsson back in just for some level of offensive competence. Perry significantly less effective today too.

Skinner?? 0 goals that he would like back was the minimum. Man decided to let in 0 goals. Well played.

Great game by Stetcher. I said at the beginning of the year not to sleep on him. He had some great underlying metrics. Skinner was great as well. Kane- what a beauty. That penalty made no sense. Kapanen was great as well.

Vegas doesn’t have an answer for our depth. They are keying in on the big dogs but then the other guys are eating.

Who knew going in to the playoffs that our depth was the club's greatest strength? I thought for sure it was Mc-Drai.

Kudos to Knob. That was a very well coached game.

Yes, yes, yes. I go back to this but look at how badly Vegas were coached and prepared for this game tonight.
Lets micro it. 3PP"s in first period and pissing every one of them away passing the puck. Nobody shooting and Vegas had 5SOG. Where was the timeout to get Vegas dialed into the game. They were awful, they were getting beat to everything.
Even Hill tried to wake his club up, inject some life into them. The coaching staff did nothing and frankly that Vegas PP scheme is complete garbage to look at. Its a classic case of underperforming skill and they have been all season and playoffs delivering muffins. That club should be working on PP all day.

The Oilers are so well coached. Keep saying this is the best coaching staff, bar none, we've had since 1990.

Kane's presence was what the club needed. Even if the hands were no longer as quick. He really got under the Knight's armor tonight.

Its like having Dave Semenko there to be king cop of everything AND Kane is filthy skilled and scores a lot of goals.

On a value level per pricetag he's top beef in playoffs. My only worry was how the hell could he dial his game up to be this good, but somehow he does. He's a freak of nature. Few players can miss a whole year and play like this.

But theres also something else in Kane. His Alpha presence and everything from calm to sharp dressed dude he comes in grinning, confident, and it just becomes infectious to the team. He's such a big part of this team, pun intended.
