Post-Game Talk: We’re all smilin with you tonight Stu

Does Aiden Hill ghost-write their social media?
Maybe they should pay attention to what Vegas were trying to do tonight, and it certainly wasn't to win a hockey game. Vegas were owned in this game so Vegas tried to take the game to the alley. You can't do that either against the OIlers. We're not standing on the bus stop looking around anymore..

I think the key was more that Skinner wasn't aggressive. He played a contained game. Staying in crease, no sprawling, no chasing out of position or diving at pucks. Of course tonight he didn't have to as the Oilers were containing well. But Skinner played the right game for the Oilers shutdown game that was happening tonight. This was the game he needs to package and put in a bottle. LESS is more. Just use your size and be square to pucks and shots. He was anticipating better. Giving himself time to control movement instead of losing angles.
Yea I don't think Skinner broke out the snow angel once tonight.

Vegas has 4 posts in their GDT and 2 were by Lady Stanley and 1 after the game.

Thats pathetic.

I'm a certified Skinner hater and have to give credit where it's due, he played great tonight. Most importantly, he didn't give Vegas a momentum goal in the first when both teams were getting their chances.

Looked much cleaner in net too, efficient movements. Hopefully he can keep it up!

Top to bottom absolute dominance.

All season when people were worried about this team being "soft" or "slow", I really hoped that being such a veteran team they knew how to crank it up in the playoffs.

And you know what, they ABSOLUTELY f***ing do.

DOMINANT. This teams a wagon.
I may have been one of the few who was consistent in my optimism for this team once playoffs came around. Management didn’t do themselves any favours with the ins/outs in the offseason but the deadline moves have all paid massive dividends.

I think some people really underestimated what multiple deep playoff runs can do to a regular season mindset.

Decent enough effort, I suppose.
That was one of the best Monday night game efforts I've ever seen.

The Oilers were bosses out there all game. tell ya what this feels like. Revenge matchup.

In 1984 the Oilers put it into a different gear and waxed the defending Champion Islanders in 5 games. By Game 3 the Islanders were lost in space and the Oilers just all over them.

Now I'm not saying Vegas are that club, Vegas aren't much, but the Oilers performance and just playing at a completely different every player intensity was the difference.

On down the lineup everybody bringing it. I mean everybody.

I thought they would go on long run … or lose in the first round haha. No inbetweens for this group.
