His skates are probably way too sharp. You can hear them screech every time he makes a quick push or quick stop.

Not sure if that's allowed, but a guy tried it once. Maybe he had to get special permission to do so from the league (wasn't the NHL). He had some kind of hand injury or something which is why he tried it.
