When I first saw the Stars avatars I wondered what the f*** was going on. I went on their board, saw what was going on and thought fair enough, that's actually quite funny.

Jamie Benn is a piece of shit and I wish him nothing but the misery he deserves.

Better to have won one than to never have won one at all, like what will happen to Benn ;)
Nah, we deserve it

One thing I haven't seen mentioned but surprises me is that the Avs D is playing so soft. Looking at the Stars goals Monday, no Avs D were near them in front of the net. We'll, not on the Miro softie or EN, but the others.

Either they don't coach D, the players forgot, or they just don't care.

Soft D never makes anyone happy.

They didn't have Toews, so kind of makes sense for Monday.

Soft D never makes anyone happy.

LOL

You are so confident while being so wrong.

Duchene quit on the team. He told Joe he didn’t want to be part of a rebuild, which is all well within his rights, but he still quit on a team that traded away a much better player in ROR to build around Duchene.

When players like Erik Johnson and Gabe Landeskog were telling Sakic they wanted to stay and be part of the solution, Matt Duchene quit on the team.

That’s why he’s not looked upon favorably by Avs fans.

Not even going to get in to how ridiculous your stuff about Benn/Landeskog is, acting like you’ve never considered the DoPS to be a joke, yet you’re going to use their “infinite wisdom” as some of the weakest evidence to support your opinion.

And that deserves him getting booed FIVE years after the fact? Good lord, get over yourselves. He didn't wanna be on a garbage losing team anymore.

"Not looked upon favorably" just admit you and the fans hate the guy because he didn't quite live up to his draft billing, and he was tired of being scapegoated for a horrible team.

Are you suggesting the DoPS unfairly targets Landeskog and protects Benn? LMFAO, there's an excuse for everything, isn't there?

Heres the problem with this series. Its about Generals fighting old wars when things might have changed.

In 2021, the downfall was stubbornly forcing zone entries on the stick of one person. The adjustment was the outlet on the zone entry. Its just unfortunate this adjustment was made once the series was over.

The problem this time. The Avs have overtly emphasized dumping and chasing to the point where they lost their identity. Was it because Bednar emphasized the 5D or was it because Bednar galaxy brained a so-called solution?

The fact that that the Avs were so heavily dedicated to dump and chase calls things into question.

The best flow the Avs had in the last three games of this series was the last 30 minutes when they were desparate. Guys were sometimes foregoing dump and chase and they were getting space off neutral zone entries. They need to score still but the sample size is small vs the dump and chase tactic that was pounded into them by a coach/general who was overcompensating for past wars.

The players have been put in a position to overcome the skeletons in the closet of their coach.

The answer for the Avs was the Cornhuskers offense of the 90s. If you never hand the ball to the fullback, the perimeter option becomes easier to defend. But if you only hand the ball to the fullback the perimeter option becomes ineffective. The answer was always in between. Not one or the other. Hopefully they learned from the last game. But it doesnt seem that way.

Bednars answer to yesterdays war has been "hand the ball to the fullback".
