Will be fun to see the absolutely insane overreactions after game 1....and every subsequent game.
100%, one team is going to be the eventual cup champions and the other will be trading their core players and firing everyone from the president down by midnight tonight

Really? I’d give a big edge to Nashville with Josi.
The Canucks should be able to create a lot more offense against the Oilers as a whole.
Im
This. It's not so much the defenseman as the system. Oilers have solid d this year, but Nashville's whole game was about defense. Oilers like to trade a lot more chances

Edit: Also, McDonagh is awesome. So solid in his own end. Better than anyone else on the Preds and all the Oilers.

Agreed. That second pairing of Ceci-Nurse is downright scary!
Kidding aside, I’m expecting the Oilers D to be a lot better than they were in the seasons series. But that’s the Oilers weakness that the Canucks will have to expose if they want to have a chance of winning the series.

Edmonton needs to continue to do what they’ve done in the second half of the year and in the LA series by sticking to their structure and not cheating for chances. Can’t get caught below the puck, need to be mindful of Vancouvers quick strike transition, especially when Hughes/Hronek are out there because they are quite aggressive.

Vancouver needs to be disciplined because if they can’t stay out of the box it’s going to be difficult for them to win. Keep your hands on your stick and keep your stick out of areas that is going to lead to penalties against.

This has the makings of a great series. Too bad Demko isn’t healthy for the start but Silovs is playing with a ton of confidence and I think their team is really going to rally around their rookie goalie.

Just can’t wait to see the reaction after the first bad penalty for either team🤣

I’m not sure if I’m gonna be around here much tonight, but I’ll definitely be reading after😂

Agree to disagree, and I like Ekholm. Easily my favourite Oiler defender.
Ekholm is good but McDonagh is absolutely better than him, but it’s not a HUGE difference

Please no overtime... it's a 10:00 game for me.
Stuck in a boardroom all day today and tomorrow as we are handing a newly finished project over to a customer. Can’t afford any less sleep tonight
