They need to figure out how to contain the Thorton line. They are just all over them out there.

I'll take tied after 40 on the road.

I think people are forgetting that San Jose is really good. They're great at home. Give them some credit for neutralizing our top lines. 20 minutes to determine a winner is what a road team wants against a dominant home team.

It could be argued that Joe was always out of the crease and Quick instigated the contact. Which if you want to be honest was probably the case. But Quick went right out trying to get the call. We know that Quick likes to get out farther and he didn't let him.

I agree that it could go either way and this is the playoffs, but we've all seen goals waived off for less contact. Kings don't lose that faceoff cleanly and there isn't a goal. Kings failed on that play.

But the whole top line can't make simple passes to each other. I understand that the kings will spend more time in their zone without their best defensive players, but they should not be so bad in the offensive zone.

Go kings!

Agreed. But so many turn overs and give-aways in the defensive zone doesn't help either. One of the strengths last year was the breakout from the D-zone with an outlet pass and get on the rush.

I wonder if last year has messed us up. I don't think we ever see that kind of domination by the kings in the playoffs ever again. Maybe they aren't as bad as they seem right now? :dunno:

They are getting destroyed on the shot clock again. That has to stop.

1-1 going into the third on the road. The kings should play their best period of the year. Knowing they just need to win one period to go up 3-0 in the series should be motivation enough.

Go kings!

You are never going to see the Kings play like that again, Never.

Not your lifetime, 16-4 in the playoff's just doesn't happen often.

The Kings are going to gut a lot of games out this year.

Also the Kings are playing much better teams this playoff's. Also they have a number of injuries.

The Blues/Sharks are way harder match-ups than last year.

You missed that it's the refs fault for calling the automatic call. :sarcasm:

I think the sharks are playing really well offensively, but their defense has been bad. Lots of turnovers, but the kings just can't complete passes to take advantage. Niemi has looked weak too, but the kings are making it easy for him. Kings are shooting a lot of pucks right into defenders.

Go kings!

Considering the way the Kings have played I'm happy with the score.

A statement that has been true at the end of almost every period this playoffs. They seem to play better in the third period, hope that's the case tonight as well.
