Lose defensive zone faceoff....get assist...

Must be the only way Carter can get them...190 feet from the goal:laugh:

Watching the TSN feed. They showed carter throwing a nice pick on couture just before voynov takes the shot. Really subtle, but earned that assist in a different way.

Not to take anything away from Niemi, he had a great season, but alot of guys would have won that cup with Chicago.

If Niemi had been the Kings goalie last year we would have been picking in the top 10 instead of winning a Stanley Cup.

Niemi was a huge difference in the conference finals in sweeping the Sharks. Niemi, Buff-man and Bolland were the biggest difference makers that round.

There was a clear difference between Niemi and Nabakov, that DW didn't hesitate in letting Nabby go. And this is after Nabby had a great playoff run.

Wonder if Voynov has as great a chance if the pass didn't deflect off Irwin's stick, talk about being able to walk in and shoot it off a tee.

Or spoken like someone who watched Chicago play a lot more than you did.

The roster was stacked, as stacked as you will see in a capped league.

And I stand by my comment about Quick's importance to the Kings last year, similar to Niemi's with the Sharks this year, now lets see Niemi carry the team through 3 more playoff rounds and we can compare Niemi's 2013 to Quick's 2012.
