YOU ALL HAVE ROLES, 1 OF THE HIGHEST, BEING, PUT PUCKS INTO THE NET!!!! REPRESENT. ARISE. ELEVATE. PLEASE!!

To be fair, those in bold shouldn't be expected to score much(if at all). In the case of Toffoli, assuming he remains on the 4th line.

True, but it's not too pretty and with only Carter, Penner and Williams putting pucks in the net, we cannot expect to win.
I hate it when players say stuff like "I am playing my role - working hard, getting pucks to the net, cycling..." My I hope inside they are SCREAMING and BELIEVING - "I am going to elevate my game to another level, beat my opponent, overcome anything, put pucks in the net, and bury these guys..give no quarter and no mercy"

I'm excited about this series. The 2011 Kings team was almost completely different than this team, and we took them to 6 games. I was at the game where we blew the 4-0 lead - that sucked, plain and simple.

Back then we had Smyth, Johnson and no Kopitar. Now we have Kopitar, Richards, Carter, Penner and Voynov. Call me crazy, but i'm also very hopeful for Toffoli. With all the success Etem had for Anaheim, I think Toffoli might be a player that San Jose overlooks. The big thing that worries me about San Jose is how well their offense has done thus far. If Niemi keeps playing as well as he has, we may have difficulty scoring. St. Louis definitely plays a more stifling game than San Jose, though.

Coaching: Kings
Offense: Sharks
Defense: Sharks
Goaltending: Kings
Intangibles: Kings

I really hate picking against my own team, but I am a realist. Kings in 6.

Any news on clifford ? i hate to see him out cause he did so well 2 years ago against the sharks.

Have no idea what his injury is..they are pretty tight-lipped about it. I'm really interested to see what Toffoli can do in his place. Methinks that line could be a dark horse.

I would rather have seen toffolli with clifford who has more offensive talent then nolan myself but i do agree that line could be a key to winning this .

Kings need to score a lot of goals to win this series. The sharks know how aggressive quick plays and how to beat him. Without Greene and Mitchell, the sharks will get plant of high quality chances.

Kings need to bury their chances when they get them.

Kings need to keep up the physical pressure.

Hoping Toffoli on the 4th line can bring some offense from where the Sharks aren't expecting it.

Yeah, I really hope Clifford plays! He always plays well against the sharks. He had an awesome playoffs in 2011 and a 2-goal game against them this season.
I believe Rosen's blog indicated that Clifford is practicing with the Black Aces, not with the Kings.

Edit: Here:http://lakingsinsider.com/2013/05/14/game-1-lineup-notes-2/

Kyle Clifford is out due to an undisclosed injury. He skated with the Black Aces at the Toyota Sports Center Monday afternoon.

I disagree about Toffoli.

No matter what line he is on, he is dangerous. I was extremely impressed with his aggressive style in the playoffs, he definitely didn't shrink from any perceived pressure just because its the playoffs (as opposed to Muzzin...).

He will definitely score this playoff season as long as Sutter keeps putting him in.

Agree. His shots during the Blues series were flat out rockets. I think only Carter has a quicker shot.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm nervous and excited about tonight at the same time. In no way do I think SJ will be an easy by, however I am confident this series is in our teams hands. If they come out playing like they want it, and staying hungry for it like they looked at the end of their round with the Blues, we should move forward. If they let their foot off the gas San Jose is very capable and prime for stealing it.

I'm feeling extra anxious because I hadn't really prepared myself for this as a fan mentally. Last year... well, we all know how last year felt. i was so elated and thrilled to see the Kings push their way to the cup with little opposition that I made a promise to the hockey gods that we could suck big time this year and bow out early and I wouldn't have even been mad (I would have, a little).

And now, here we are, western semi finals, just broke past a very strong team in the first round, and one of four teams poised to move on to the finals. I see no reason why we can't do this and come out on top again.

Just praying we see the fight in them we know they are capable of, and maintain the aggression that will help us advance.

Feeling good about tonight. Both teams with 4 wins in their pocket, but ours at home in front of a proud and loyal crowd, knowing we have the advantage of our ice in this one. I'm hoping and looking forward to a chance to celebrate in LA tonight.

Go Kings Go!!!
