The first goal is a tough break. It seems like an overreaction to me.
Literally every time Rinne had to make a save he looked nervous. And he allowed 2 bad goals which is tough mentally for a goalie. Even the 2nd one you can say was a result of the first one as Rinne obviously panicked after failing to track the puck.

Such a better game than the Leafs/Bruins game 7 structure-wise. You could tell regardless of who won that game, they were in trouble against Tampa. With this game you have the feeling whoever wins this game very likely will and should be the cup favorites.

How can anybody still criticize Laviolette?

Saris has made every big save since he was put in...you are fooling yourself if you think that Rinne would have made every single one of these saves.
Agreed. With rinne it’s probably 4 or 5 to 1 right now.
Lavvy made the right move.

preds should be happy if they get to the locker room down by 1

jets havent been all that great but the preds cant even enter the jets zone...... petey needs to rally the troops and hes already pulled his starter.....

He looked real bad in net and you can't argue with the outcome honestly

Fair enough, but that doesn't bode well for the Preds in the playoffs. If they get past the Jets, they pretty much have to roll with Saros.

One thing I notice about these 2 teams. They have the right mentality to go all the way. There is no fear in taking a hit to make a play or take a hit to save a goal.

Both teams are built to win in the playoffs. It's not a thing you can teach. You have players in tonight's game that are not afraid to pay the price to move on. I can't say this for all series I have seen thus far.

Nope, even good goalies have off nights sometimes.

If Nashville wins they might stick with Soros but they are not obligated to.
