I f***ing hate this turtling strategy right now. Montreal made it work because they had Price to fall back on. Hill has been solid but he is not f***ing Quick. Sustained offensive zone time is more effective than repeatedly dumping the puck out of the defensive zone. This is giving me hives.

Quick is past his best before date too....wouldn't really trust that strategy with him either.

Oilers may lose, in fact likely will, but I would suggest Oiler fans take a higher road and not fall into the war of words with people posting nonsense like "150 points wasted' or some other obvious trolling.

The truth is, they are not ready. i suspect most of us knew this deep down. They are not consistent enough as a team, especially defensively or in net.

McDavid is not a disappointment. Guy is playing his heart out. More than Drai, who looks defeated already. Their time will come if not this year.

McDavid is the true superstar of that team.

Draisaitl is a point producer, there is absolutely no doubt about that.
Offensively, he's nearly as good as McDavid.

However, in every single other part of the game, I can fin at least a few players more complete.

He's usually too deep in the offensive zone to be helpful coming back the other way.
He's normally too far forward in the defensive zone to be really helpful at the back.

McDavid may not be Bergeron, but he is orders of magnitude better than Draisaitl at everything other than scoring. Although, he's better than anyone else in the league at that!

If you're still struggling with this, I'll spell it out for you. Sutter only plays his star players 17 or so minutes a night. That's it; that was the whole point.

Now, if you still want to go on some sadsack white knighting crusade to defend an out of touch dinosaur like Sutter, go for it. No one cares.
