If it was an in-play infraction I would imagine the refs let it go. But usually refs will make it clear how lenient they are in regards to in-play chippiness, but will be a lot more stern when it comes to unnecessary garbage.

The only questionable missed call was the Yamamoto high stick, and you can’t conclusively call that in real time. You can’t clearly see who’s stick caught him.

Thing is, he arguably committed a few penalties there. If he made slightly heavier contact you could definitely call charging. High sticking and roughing are also obvious. Perhaps crosschecking too..they'll probably just give him high sticking or something though of courseb
