Wonder if it's related to Vegas and their focus on collapsing on the net. Coaching staff might want them to be more selective with shots since they're always going to be outmanned fishing for rebounds.

Skinner was far and away the best Oiler in that period.

He generated more scoring chances than any skater in white.

As is always with this team brain dead puck management in the o zone is leading to free breaks for them to bury us on.

On the break in they are doing an outstanding job holding the blue line and we are continually walking right into it. Either results in turnovers or air head passes to the trailer that don’t work because we aren’t deep enough in the zone. If we want to win this game it is an absolute requirement that we start chipping pucks past their d and making them turn.

As always our own stupidity is killing us.

I think Oilers try too hard to "skill" their goals... against a team that's "on" like Vegas tonight... you need more junk at the net because you can't always outskill a club when that team is working hard (like Vegas is).

This would be a demoralizing game for Vegas if they lose this... just get some greasy shit at the net and steal this.
