Feels like if Avs lose tonight, JD might be back in game 3, if we win they’ll probably feel no need to rush him back so maybe game 4 or 5
For Drouin, it wasn’t a muscle tear or injury that required rehab, etc. It was a cut. So it’s really just making sure the cut is healed enough that it won’t re-open.

Once it’s good to go, it’s good to go.

Instead, for kiviranta, it was a legit injury. That one could always be more cautious if necessary.

Rantanen plays soooo much better when he's pissed off. You saw it last game after the 1st period debacle. He definitely used his body and would have set up MacKinnon for a nice goal but Nate just missed.
Also remember how he snapped his stick in half in G5 against WPG and then scored two goals?

We need someone to piss Mikko off before each game. Can someone please give Dater his credentials back or something? Or maybe Lehky can talk to his dad and tell him to publically call out Mikko every day "yeah he's producing but still not looking good" or something like that.

This is totally true.

Mikko had one of his best games of the season when he was pissed off after Ismo criticized his summer.

Also had a hat trick the game after he had his tiff with Georgiev.

I think Mikko is more of a hot head than Nate or Georgie at this point. Always barking at the officials, snapping sticks, yelling at teammates. Seems like it brings the best out of him though.

We need to pay someone to just heckle him every game from behind the bench.

Dallas is going to play desperation hockey. Sure, they came back from an 0-2 hole in Round One but veteran players on that team know that is hard to replicate and the fact the Avs played 2 less games up to this point will also become a factor. Not 'must win' for Dallas but not far from it. Survive the first ten minutes, don't count on rallying from 3-0 again (that is also rare), and come back home up 2 games.

Rantanen is this weird big, strong dude who never hits anyone and always seem to overbalance his weight against opponents to protect the puck and cut inside. If he times it well, he is like a mountain that can't be budged, but when he doesn't, he crashes down sprawling like a bambi. And he misses his timing really, really often... It looks a bit like he lacks core strength for his size and tries to compensate by leaning too much into his opponents...
