Clean up the turnovers and we'll be ok. Most of their chances came off them and Quick needs to stop being so aggressive on those plays .

I don't see why this maters. A lot of teams lifted the cup before the Kings, the Ducks aren't special.

It still stings every time I am reminded of what happened. A head-to-head beat down would certainly ease some of that pain - just sayin'....

First period of game one – not exactly the Kings time to shine, typically. Ducks are rested. Considering what we had coming at us, I think we weathered it well. Defense looked a little sloppy at the end. That needs to tighten up and/or Quick needs to be better. If we can keep it tied or up or down one goal in the second I think we win the game. Might be ugly but it will still feel good when we pull it off.

Go Kings Go!!!

Didn't think the period was bad, seems like the Kings were feeling out the Ducks more than anything. . The Kings just need to clean up in their end and stop taking dumb penalties.

Oh sweet jesus
@Rich_Hammond: Kings defenseman Robyn Regehr didn't take a shift in last 10 minutes of period. Not sure what's up there.

if that's the best that ANH has then there isn't anything to worry about. Kings play their game and they will win. Ducks are running out of position to make body contact, they want to match physicality so make them pay for it. Hiller has virtually no rebound control, which isn't surprising from a keeper that hasn't been playing much

At least the Kings aren't up 2-0 after the first like last series. :naughty: Am I right?

Team speed needs to pick up and everyone needs to start smashing Ducks.

Yup, and people here were splitting hairs about Hahn/Remenda and their coverage, which I still maintain was professional.

Hayward is nowhere near professional.

Honestly in national games not involving the Ducks that I've seen, Hayward has actually been good. Tonight, however, he's an asshat. Pretty sure if Perry waited another second to skate away at the end of the interview to start the game, Hayward would have tried to kiss him.
