They really need to give Silovs 1B or at least full time backup time next season.

I think that's pretty much set in stone at this point.

Heck, they were apparently even thinking about giving him the spot this season before the DeSmith trade opportunity popped up with Pearson's mess. Which probably would've been too soon.

But they need a capable, dirt cheap goaltender to keep Demko fresh so badly next year with the cap crunch that's likely to hit.
