Its a shame his injury troubles. He was on pace for 50 pts his first season here.

Even this season he had 10 goals and 19 points the first 29 games. But only 1 goal since

From what I remember, he was largely successful because he played with an extremely high motor, physical, and didn’t change his game while seeing success. Then he decided he was a finesse scorer (injuries?) and completely diverted from what made him successful. It was rather bizarre.

He had a shoulder injury IIRC to start 15-16 and simply couldn't play the way he needed to. Then went to Utica and was terrible there too, and finally took a month off and came back and lit it up in the AHL again to close out the season but never got another look.

This is the team we saw earlier in the season.

The three goals in quick succession in Game 3 reminded this team that they're actually an offensive juggernaut.

They can score at will.

The last 20 games of the season they were averaging two goals per game. They're capable of doubling that.
