Yep. He then regrouped and lugged the puck back up the ice himself, skated it down to the dots and took a hit to the body to push the puck even deeper behind the net.

I think one big bright spot for me this playoffs is that I have no qualms with Sam Malinksi playing in the playoffs. Sure, I'd prefer him to get 3rd pair minutes, but with another full season of getting more trusted NHL minutes, he should be really steady in the coming seasons. As long as he doesn't price himself out.

The Avs once again didn't play to their capabilities even though their underlying numbers are better than Dallas' tonight.

Fact is this: Blackwood cost them this game. Not only with two dreadful goals, but not being able to match Oettinger who played lights out.

If it happens again, we're golfing by Thursday.

The bigger issue is Makar and Toews. Blackwood was rubbish, but both of the former are just nonsensically stupid at this point in time.
