It's why I'm not worried about the guy. I think eventually those pucks are going to start going in for him. We got spoiled earlier when everything was going in for Lehkonen and he was on a 45 goal pace. It hasn't been happening for him for a couple of months now.

If he snaps out of his funk, that top line ends up looking a lot better results wise 5v5.

He’s just snake bit. It will end. The fact he’s getting the chances means he’s in the right spot. If he wasn’t getting chances at all I’d be worried he has lost a step. I don’t think that’s the case with lehky.

Lehkonen leads the entire NHL playoffs in individual high danger chances for at 5v5. He has 9. Nobody else has more than 8.

Lehkonen has 12 shots with 9 of them being iHDCF. He has 1 goal. That's crazy.

In comparison, MacKinnon has 13 shots with only 1 being iHDCF at 5v5. He's shooting from the perimeter and not getting to the interior enough.

Lehkonen is getting tons of chances, just not scoring them. 1 goal scored out of 9 iHDCF opportunities at 5v5 is insane.

Yeah, Lehkonen has been unbelievably snake-bit but it has just been a case of really bad luck more than anything. I still have confidence in Lehkonen as a player. Continue to feed Lehkonen chances because the Avs will need him to win the SC again.

Avs need to stomp the Stars tonight. Play a full 60 and put Marchment down if he tries the goonery again.

Not sure if they caught it during the telecast, but during the game, Gabe went over to Marchment 2 or 3 times between whistles and had a little chat. He seemed to chill out a bit more from his normal dirty antics, although the game was pretty well settled at that point.

Butttt... just another thing we've been missing in the lineup for 3 years.

Oh I disagree that he chilled out. Marchment was running around the entire 3rd. The reason Necas caught him up high is Marchment chased him back down the entire length of the ice to hit him.
