Maybe #7 shouldn’t be leaving the zone so early? Isn’t he a D? Puck on stick in that spot, in that moment, he’s got to make the smart play. To the boards. If Minny loses this series, that’s the play that cost them.
Was that an attempted flip from the corner or a quick up?
Flip - it's a set play as they know Vegas are going to retreat on the loss.

That #7 has been the best dman in the series and is a top 5-10 dman in the league.

Apparently the Wild have never taken a 3-1 series lead in the history of their franchise....pretty crazy stat. At least to go up 3 games to 1 when leading 2-1.
You make it sound like it's easy to go 3-1 on a team, especially Vegas, division leader. Minny could have just as easily been out of playoffs but got lucky Canucks had too many injuries in the end.

I didn't say or mean that.

Just pointing out an interesting (imo) piece of trivia about their franchise. Never owning a 3-1 series lead in any playoff series in their existance. I wonder if they are the only team who can say that since they've come into the league.

Pretty young team that has not made playoffs much in their history. It happens, would be embarrassing if they would be as old as leafs and never had a 3-1 series lead in their history. For this Wild team, they haven't been in the league long enough.

The most important take away is that this series is into bondage, because it's tied.

I'll see myself out.

Sucks for Middleton, but that's the first total screw-up I can think from our defensemen that ended up in the net, and it still took work from Vegas after the turnover to score. Meanwhile Vegas has had too many total gaffs to count, and some of them have led to clean breakaways. It was bound to happen the other way. We have to stop relying on mistakes and need to start creating more offense on our own. If Vegas cleans up, they win the best of 3. It's pretty clear after 4 games what the formula is for both teams.
