I missed the start thanks to the Ottawa vs. Toronto game going to overtime, but to me, not really. Colorado controlled long stretches of play in the second period and it was only through the stellar play of Oettinger that Dallas “escaped” (if you even want to call it that) down by “only” three goals.

Yeah not to mention he was the only reason it wasn’t 0-6.

He had a 0.913 despite letting 3 past him.

I felt like he should have made saves on two of the goals. Maybe I'm being a bit critical, but when the puck goes through the goalie, I tend to blame the goalie for not making the stop.

To the point of pulling him though?

I mean none of us are professional coaches, but I can’t help but feel that’s the wrong message to send to your starter. Especially if you think you’re gonna go deep in the playoffs.
