GDT: WCQF: Game 4 - Dallas Stars @ Colorado Avalanche | 7:30PM MT

It's games like this that bring me back to the Bednar discussion. Clearly when the guys play the systems properly they can dominate. This was the Avs hockey we saw all 2022, and it's the hockey we've seen in fits and spurts since. But not as consistently. Bednar still knows how to coach this team, sometimes they just don't execute well enough for it to work. If we can play like this for the rest of this series or playoffs we have a damn good chance at another cup.

Landy. Man. What a f***ing guy. I thought he was immense. In fact I liked nearly everyone's games. Drouin is one of the exceptions. He seems lost and doesn't seem to be bringing much positive, at least not offensively.

Well, we know who to blame for game 3 now; the players.
From timid and lackadaisical like a tuesday night in november to the playoff intensity show they put on tonight!
And, oh Landy!! Haven't been so happy for a goal since the finals against Tampa!
Just as important is the havoc he creates in front of the goalie on Girard's goal. f***ing beauty of a job:heart:
Leading by example on the ice AND on the bench talking to the other players. This team finally has a true leader again!
Gonna be real interesting to see which team shows up in game 5..
Just one more thing; Oh, Captain, my Captain!😍
We need to bring back our song. All the small things. The song that played in 2022 and fans were singing along.

It’s funny how quickly Gabe Landeskog has become important again for this team.

The guy was unbelievable last night, the best player on the ice. The net front play, the hits, the two-way play, the goal. The guy just came back from three years away and he’s doing it all.
I think I am less surprised than most of you about this. For one thing, the wear and tear is nonexistent at this point, after 3 yr of being in the gym only. High-level athletes don't just lose their skill, either. Sure you lose some timing and your game fitness, but that's easy enough to get back. And -- I'm not sure how to describe this -- his cache is cleared. The others have so much going on in their brains, that's what I see when they don't move their feet. They are muddled and just need to simplify things and react, not think. That's kind of how he always played anyway, nothing fancy.

I think he’s definitely benefited from the time off. It looks like he’s fully healthy and doesn’t have the wear and tear on his body.

Honestly, he looks like prime Gabe Landeskog, which is massive for this team.

I can't get over how much Landeskog dominated Bischel on the Avs 4th goal. That kid tried to physically dominate him and learned real quick when Landeskog wants to get to a spot on the ice, you are not pushing him out of there.

The Avs needed to get to the net and even though only 1 of the 4 goals came as a result, they could have had so many more due to crashing the net and making Oettinger's life difficult.

Have to keep it up.

What a game!!!!!!!!

Everybody was playing great. Mack and Makar were back. Loved all our Dmen but especially G and Malinski. Certainly looks like Malinski can handle playoffs hockey.

What can I say about Landy? I knew he was going to be back however all I was hoping for was for a 75-80% Landy. I never thought he would be back to his old self that quickly. Big bonus is he got Nelson going and Nuke probably played his best game of this series as well. That line was fantastic.

Talking about fantastic....Man I love our 4th line. Having a 4th line that can give you 10-13 minutes of high energy play is very important in the playoffs. It allows the coach to play all 4 lines and keep our top dogs more fresh.

I didn't think Necas was that bad. His only problem last night was fumbling the puck too often but I like his play, energy and effort overall.

I think Drouin is still hurt and that is why he was dropped to the 3rd line to keep his minute down but still available on PP2.

Congrats to Blacky on his first playoffs shutout as well.

Oh and a special shoutout to DeBoer for outcoaching Bednar again. That was a masterpiece from him.

Bischel? F that punk ass bitch!

Thanks for typing this out. Still haven't been able to find a video of it, weirdly.

Would probably have to come from TNT or the Avs.

MAX has pretty good screen capture prevention. Probably why nobody has it. Screen just goes black when you hit record and then comes back when you stop.

I would bet his doc will have it though.

I played the replay from max and pointed my phone at the TV.
