Yeah, I thought the Stars have been the better team the last 2 games and have deservedly won. The Avs are struggling to generate chances, and it's crazy because the Stars underlying metrics since Heiskanen got hurt suggested they were a bottom 5 team, and yet here we are as they've outplayed the Avs the last 2 games and are in control of this series.

It almost feels like the Avs thought this would be a walk in the park after game 1, topped off with the Stars missing Heiskanen/Robertson

Stars underlying metrics are basically on-par with the Avs this series which is absolutely shocking to me. Not sure how they are doing this.

I also think the Avs top pairing and the top line were tired on that OT goal... they had basically been on the ice for the entire OT at that point with maybe 1 shift off including 4 mins straight on the PP with no tv timeout in the middle.

I always kind of thought the real difference between Necas and Rantanen was Rantanen's playoff ability. While that was his first point he has gotten a ton of shots off and is starting to round into form. Necas looks like he's a beat behind constantly and can't get in sync with less room to operate.

Even then, to be playing on-par hockey with the Avs with the injuries they have is nuts, and it's pathetic from MacK/Makar who have been largely no shows.

Why Colorado lose games:

Nathan Mackinnon - 29 mins 22 seconds

So, not only was this player turning the puck over more than he was creating offense, he was constantly rewarded with more, and more, and more ice time despite poor play.

Then, when you need fresh legs and next man up after a 30-45 second shift.. you have players late on the backcheck tired because they are being over used.

It happened last year, and it is happening again. Dallas can beat Colorado because they roll 4 lines, they keep shifts short and smart, and they don't put forwards out there for 30 mins in a game.

Very good point. Dallas only had 1 forward over 20mins. Wyatt Johnston at 20:11. Avs had 4, all more than Johnston.

Another easy win in Colorado, while everyone doubts us.

No #1 D

No #1 LW

Still an easy win.

As a Jet fan with no skin in this game that was not a easy win for the Stars. This game could of easily been a Avs win. I keep hoping this type of play from both teams will continues for the full 7 games of this series.

Drouin and Necas sunk the Avs tonight. Meanwhile Rantanen was very noticeable especially outmuscling Drouin late in his shift before setting up the dagger

What’s wrong with the cans. Down 2-1 now to a Dallas team without their best D and forward! (Heiskanen and Robertson). Avs should be dominating. I picked you guys in my playoff pool! Now start wining!

All the idiots that said Dallas was done after game 1 saying the Avs are done after game 3 lmao. We all know this is going to be a long series.
As a Jet fan this is what I am hoping for. A 7 game series with plenty of OT games.

MacKinnon and Makar were invisible all game. That's an easy win.
