There's a big difference between 3-0 and 2-1. So I really hope the Avs are fully focused on a win. But having said that, I'm a little worried about heavy legs.

Today might be a good opportunity for Newhook for that reason. But I'm really hoping for a big game from Rantanen where he has the puck on his stick a lot.

Welp it was a great season but tonight begins the demise of the Avs. The walls are closing in on them. Repeat of last yrs second round. Blow out team in game 1. win Game 2 in OT and lose the next 4.
And no one comes back next year....

Kadri gone
Nuke gone
Burakovsky gone
Makar traded
MacK traded

Avs relocated back to Quebec

I wouldn't mind switching NAK and MacDermid, just to show that we know what the only real trick Preds have left won't go unpunished.

I'd go with this:

Landeskog - MacKinnon - Rantanen
Nichuskin ------ Kadri ---- Burakovsky
Lehkonen ------ Sturm ---- Compher
Cogliano ------- Helm ----- O'Connor

If Cogliano isn't ready, then Newhook instead of him, and roll with a bottom 6 like this:

Lehkonen -- Compher -- Newhook
Helm ----------- Sturm ----- O'Connor

My logic:

1. Nashville will have last change so it's important to beef up the 3rd line a bit with Lehkonen, and ideally also Sturm. The 3rd line will need to be solid defensively against Nashville's top line.

2. Kadri and Burakovsky have been quiet lately, and the 2nd line has looked quite impotent offensively the last couple of games. Nichuskin-Kadri-Burakovsky has always worked well. Burakovsky would give that line a bit more offense than Lehkonen as well.

3. The top line together can win the game on their own if they're on it. Moreover, if Ingram is on his game again Landeskog's ability to tip pucks and cause havoc Infront of the net will be key. That threat is a bit neutered whenever Landeskog isn't on the top line as the non-top-line guys don't do as good of a job of reading his net-front movement.

I've developed a strategy that, based on empirical evidence, would guarantee Nashville a win today, for the rest of the series, and potentially a cup. I'm posting it here because opposing fans NEVER EVER check the other team's board so it's safely contained here.

Game 1: 2 sustained DUCHENE SUCKS chants. 2 Duchene goals.

Game 2: 0 sustained DUCHENE SUCKS chants. 0 Duchene points.

Nashville fans must weaponize this to win. Chant DUCHENE SUCKS as loudly and constantly as you can in your home building. It's not even a hard adjustment. the HEY YOU SUCK chant after scoring a goal is the same number of syllables and simply swapping YOU and HEY is nearly identical to the way DU CHENE SUCKS when yelled by a drunken, incoherent mob.

Duchene could set an all time playoffs record for goals scored in a single game if they were to figure this out. Thank god it's locked away safely here in our impervious team board.

Before today I had no idea that media personnel got pregame gifts. Also that the Nashville gift set seems kinda random?

That's because we're Avs fans following this team closely and there's no way Kroenke is giving anyone anything.

Looks like a bunch of promotional items that the team got for free.

I'd be happy to get that tape measures though, it's a random but useful item.

Damn... Hahahahahah. What is it with folks and haka
For me, it goes back a ways. Not just a fad thing, not at all.

I could get whiplash from having to decipher reverse logic vs. not. Assigning it as entertainment makes it, entertaining.

I’d imagine he gives McNabb and Moser a case of Coors before each game. Then he docks it from their pay (“fringe benefits”)
