So weird. We might be reaching distraction level here soon if he’s not playing next game.

I said it before that if the guy can't play f*** off with this "will he or won't he" BS.

This isn't the Gabe Landeskog show. I love the guy, but if you can't play right now f***ing tell the media so we can stop this and just announce you are coming back next season training camp.

If he wasn't ready tonight why in the f*** would he be ready two days from now?

It’s concerning to me that Bednar doesn’t even think our best top 6 is the one where we were undefeated and actually had the second line scoring. Nelson had 2G 3A in 5 games with Necas on his wing.

It’s concerning to me that Bednar thinks EJ, a guy the Flyers couldn’t wait to get rid of and is on his last legs, is actually a better option than Malinski who was playing his best hockey to finish the season.

It’s concerning to me that Bednar would think Miles f***ing Wood is a better option than even a 50% ready Gabe Landeskog.

It’s concerning to me that Bednar watches the top 6 struggle, watches DeBoer make adjustments to his lines that are successful, and continues to sit there and do nothing.

I’m concerned.
It's ok Bednar will be fired after we lose 4 straight to Dallas without their best damn and best forward.

He is f***ing ass, and his BS decisions will cost him his job. I'm just counting the days until we can have a legit chance at winning again.

On a lighter note, this fool Miles Wood really skated head first into a 6’7” dude and busted his whole **** up. 🤣

That 3rd period was atrocious.

Leaving Dallas 1-1 i'm not going to complain about, but they're going to need to be a lot better moving forward. Neither team is going far with this level of play, but at least Dallas has an excuse.

That JB has neutered the second line is solely on him and it’s utterly inexcusable. On top of that, I’m sick of a coach that can’t adapt in game.

The top 6 should be:

27-29-13
62-11-88

FIX IT NOW YOU F****ING MORON! Either get with the program or GTFO!
No, at some point the players have to take some responsibility.

Well, I do also blame EJ for that OT goal. He shouldn’t be in the lineup.

Even earlier in OT when they had possession and kept throwing it back to him, he killed every play. There’s next to zero skating and puck handling ability left.

Girard was much worse than EJ IMO. Bad passes all night into guys feet, multiple turnovers in the D zone after hearing footsteps that created multiple scoring chances, including the tying goal in the 3rd.

Wood trying to do too much on the back check, and Drouin looking at the puck instead of clearing it are just as much at fault for the OT goal.

Wood fumbled the puck for no reason on the zone entry, just as EJ is stepping on the ice. EJ's just trying to block the shot and might have been able to stand up and stay with his man if Wood doesn't jump over his head.

I'm ok with playing Malinski, and thought the plan might be for him to play at home with better matchups, but if we think G struggled handling the Dallas forecheck, Malinski will be worse, because G is much better at evading it than him.

Yeah they pretty much were playing a solid game until the 3rd.

I'm not sure OT is being all that fair to the Avs in the expected goals category. I thought the Avs were the better team for sure and while Dallas probably had the two best chances, the Avs had some real good looks themselves as well.

Definitely a lot of overreacting here though, which is pretty normal after a loss. Ultimately they're 1-1 going back home and have played 4.5/6 good periods so far.

We knew this series wouldn't be easy. The Stars are a 106 point team as well. Everyone should have known this was going to go 6 or 7 games and like DeBoer said today this game was basically for their season.

Now it shifts back to the Avs to up that intensity again on home ice, grab the 2-1 series lead and then work to get a stranglehold on the series heading back to Dallas.

Exactly this. If he couldn't play tonight why would an extra day make him good to go. They are trying to write a Disney movie instead of winning playoff games.

Past the 2nd round one time in 9 years.

With the best forward/defenseman duo in probably 35-40 years since Gretzky/Coffey.

Inexcusable.

I agree on pairing Nelson and Necas, but imo they also need to break up the JD/Nuke pair.
Before the playoff start I suggested JD-MacK-Lehky and Nuke-Nelson-Necas.

Put in Malinski for puck skills or Middleton for physicality.

Rewatching that overtime goal is actually hilarious. Erik Johnson truly cannot move out there. He might have the worst lateral mobility of any defensemen in the league
He absolutely can't handle 15 minutes a night anymore. 10 maybe, but then you have Manson or Makar play 35+. He needs to sit for Malinski and then we have to pray that post TDL Malinski shows up and if he has another gear for the playoffs. Loosing out on Carlo to Toronto is really f***ing us here.

He absolutely should be fired after we inevitably lose this series. There is no f***ing chance in hell they win this series. Simply not a a good enough coach and a shit show of a team.

What game were you watching? I’d argue Manson was our best Dman. Girard needs to have a set of drills where he learns how to clear the puck.
What in God’s name were you watching? Because it wasn’t the Avalanche game.

Sammy had more than a few bad clears, I’ve called him out, but the team got stuck in their own zone a lot whenever Manson was on the ice. And that was whether he was paired with Lindgren OR Girard.

And FTR I didn’t think Lindgren had a bad game at all.

EJ was horrible, but Blackwood also played that horribly. Dude just sat there and acted like a training dummy. Didn't move out, change his angle, etc. Not blaming him for the loss, but no idea what he was thinking there.

Before I f*** off to bed, positives:

- Best of five with home ice advantage now. At least we got a split. No road team has won a game yet.

- 4th line has been unbelievable.

- Thought the 3rd line was good tonight.

- Val Nichushkin finally woke up in overtime.

- PK looked a hell of a lot better after the Stars PPG.

Don't want to get into the negatives because they have been said ad naseum. Here's to a fruitful game 3.

Wood had to jump over EJ which created the opening. WTF was EJ trying to do there? He goes down way too late to stop the shot.

Wood shouldn't take the blame for this shit.
