The optimist in me says that the 2nd has usually been our worst period, especially on the road. Surviving it without falling further behind feels like a win.
The pessimist in me says that we haven’t looked dangerous at all tonight and we seemed to be bound and determined to fill Hellebuyck with confidence.
We need a big play from someone to start the 3rd to get some momentum on our side.

He’s getting abused out there. They are being more physical, but overall I think we are playing fairly well and are in good shape. Need a strong push to start this 3rd and keep the puck hemmed in for a little while in their zone.
Schwartz has been flat better then O'Reilly today imo. Jaden has been all over the ice.

I like Blais more than Sanford. I would rather also have seen Kyrou kept up over a guy like Sanford.

I don't dislike Allen, but I'd feel a lot more uncomfortable in this situation with him in net than Binnington.

I like they way he's played tonight. He really wants to win tonight - unfortunately, more than several other Blues did during the first 10 minutes of the game. And that gave The Jets the momentum. The Blues took that away from them on the last penalty kill, and started to play better on offence. I hope they follow up on that with a big push at the start of The 3rd.

Doesn't seem like a playoff so far except for the hyped fans, I'm not seeing a extra gear from either team.

Dunn is the best skater so far. Parayko close second. Forwards looking good all around, just need to be more fluid against thid aggressive WIN team. Tank has been excellent.
